Rev. Marvin Kline
Minister at Bethel from 1968-1981)
We welcome Pastor Martin Kline and family back to Bethel. Marvin was a teenager during your current pastor's first appointment at Salem Church, Wolfsville. Having been in the family construction business, Marvin was the general contractor for the additions built at Bethel and Mt. Carmel.
Following graduation from Wesley Theological Seminary, Marvin served Phoenix - Fairview Charge, and then a United Methodist Church in Dundalk. He has also been an adjunct professor of religion at a nearby community college.
Marvin's pastorate has been the high point of the charge. There were evangelistic services, increased attendance, and the building programs at both churches. Attendance then was in the 60's and 70's, The nursery and Sunday school rooms were in use.
